Kunal Jain and Shivani Agrawal students of School of Architecture - IPS Academy stood first
Saint Gobin Transparence is a national design competition which is conducted in two rounds- regional jury and national jury. The theme for this year's competition was to design a 'performing art centre' at Pragati Maidan New Delhi. A total of 300 entries were submitted this year. Kunal Jain and Shivani Agrawal students of School of Architecture - IPS Academy stood first in both regional and national rounds.
Regional round for West zone was conducted at Sir JJ College Mumbai on 24th Nov 2016. Kunal and Shivani won the regional round and received a cash prize of ₹18,000. The jury members for this round were AR. Kapil Gupta, AR. Shilpa Gore Shah and AR. Hemant Mahajan.
National round was conducted at hotel Le' Meridian Chennai on 11th Feb 2017. Kunal and Shivani were declared as the National winners receiving a cash prize of ₹75,000. The event was telecasted on television by NDTV on 2nd Apr 2017. The jury members were three renowned architects, AR. Sonali Bhagwati, AR. Sen Kapadia and AR. Anup Nayak.
The results were also published in two newspapers- Dainik Bhaskar and New Indian Express (Chennai).
